INNOVATE TOGETHER
The Tunis Forum on the Development of Sino-African Medicine represents an unprecedented meeting at the crossroads of three major dynamics: Tunisia's medical expertise, China's scientific excellence, and the healthcare aspirations of the African continent.
At a time when public health challenges transcend borders, this Forum embodies a strategic trilateral platform to rethink the medicine of the future. It aims to combine the wealth of traditional medicines, the power of digital innovations and artificial intelligence, and the need to build a sustainable and inclusive African health sovereignty.
Under the High Patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, the Tunis Forum on the Development of Sino-African Medicine takes place within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in February 2025 with the Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China.
This Forum is more than a scientific gathering; it is a meeting of minds and aspirations — a space where knowledge, culture, and innovation come together in the service of health and human dignity.
With its long medical tradition, its hospital-university network, and its strategic location at the crossroads of continents, Tunisia stands naturally as a bridge linking Africa and Asia, tradition and modernity, experience and discovery.
African and Chinese traditional medicine today converge with artificial intelligence, modern technologies, and advanced scientific research. Together, they shape a new vision of care and prevention — one that unites heritage with progress and science with compassion.
This Forum reflects a shared vision of One Health, where human, animal, and environmental well-being are inseparable pillars of a balanced and sustainable future.
I wish to express my deep appreciation to the Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China and to all our African and Tunisian partners for their dedication and contribution to the success of this remarkable event.
A diplomatic and scientific showcase in Africa, industrial opportunities through joint ventures, and a targeted network of African and Tunisian decision-makers.
Direct impact on access to innovative care, skills upgrading through training, and international legitimization of its traditional medical knowledge.
Strengthening its role as a regional hub, increased diplomatic influence, and economic and scientific benefits through hosting strategic partnerships.
